With the Audiovisualiser aspect of our project working, we delved into exploring the interactive LED matrix with buttons. During the first attempt, we successfully achieved LED color changes with a single button press. However, our second attempt, which aimed to change LED colors with multiple buttons, failed due to the improper setup of the matrix. In the third attempt, we sought assistance from ChatGPT to refactor the code to match the matrix grid but encountered another failure. Nonetheless, the fourth pass involved modifying the ChatGPT code, leading to the successful resolution of bugs.
Additionally, we began preparing the matrix wiring for soldering by cutting, stripping, and tinning the rows and columns of wires. We also tested spray paint layering on the 10x10cm acrylic panels, but unfortunately, many panels got stuck together during the drying process, which ended up being unusable.
On April 6, Franchesca and I commenced soldering buttons to the matrix wiring. Afterwards, Franchesca and Nella sketched the board frame and created a list of required materials for it.
