May 16 - 18, 2023

This week was one of the busiest throughout the project timeline. With our assessment deadlines steadily approaching, all team members ended up working at Nella's house three days in a row.

On May 16, we connected various wires, including those for the button matrix, microphone, and a temporary mode-switching button. Additionally, we decided to paint the board black and adjusted the frame sticker design accordingly, as we realised that the original white board would get easily dirty. We performed soldering and re-soldering on any loose or cold connections and hot glued foam to the board to provide support for the acrylic sheets, for further stability.

The next day, we focused on the assembly of the acrylic sheets. We carefully cut and sanded the sheets, then began the process of attaching them to the board using hot glue. With the frame sticker reprinted to match the board's darker theme, we stuck the new sticker onto the forex sheet.

We also sanded all the foamboard and forex sheet components, ensuring a smooth and professional finish. With the acrylic sheets prepared, we were able to complete the full board assembly. Additionally, we soldered the power supply onto the circuit, reinforcing the electrical connections. Finally, we addressed any remaining issues with the button matrix, including fixing faulty columns and rows. To prevent future problems, we secured all wires in place using hot glue, minimizing the likelihood of further faulty connections.
